6/30: 30 Poems in 30 Days (Ten Things I Know To Be True)
my fingerprints are tree rings,
which means I’ve been here before,
just had a different way of breathing
contact is necessary
to touch is to seal things
paper is the best judge of character
even ink bleeds
i need only wish to grow
to allow healing
loneliness stinks
but alone is revealing
I am braver than I usually believe
I am strong
forests abound in me
home will always live where I allow it to be
above all else,
my mother loves me
